The American Society developed it for Testing & Materials to ensure that all products made from these materials are as safe as possible for children and adults.
It is the standard by which Dreamland Playground complies with all necessary safety and performance regulations, ensuring that every play structure we create meets or exceeds the highest standards in the industry.
EN 1176 is the European standard that describes the general safety requirements for playground equipment and surfacing. It was created by CEN, which is a European trade association that develops voluntary standards for a wide range of products, including playgrounds. EN 1176 was designed to improve product safety and encourage manufacturers to meet specific minimum standards for quality.
Dreamland Playground meets EN1176 safety standards to improve the safety of children, keeping them from injury and making them more comfortable.
ISO certification is a voluntary process in which A third-party auditor evaluates Dreamland Playground to determine whether the company conforms to a set of standards. UL 94 is a series of tests carried out to evaluate the flammability of polymeric materials.
The materials used in indoor playgrounds must be fire retardant. This means they will not easily catch on fire and will not cause a fire hazard.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) developed the UL 94 rating system for determining the flammability risk of plastic materials used in appliances and devices, including indoor play structures.
The most common UL 94 ratings that pertain to our products are V-2, V-1, and HB. These ratings mean that the material has passed the UL 94 flammability tests for V-2, V-1, and HB.
