Grand Opening of Australia's First Chuck E. Cheese 2.0 Flagship

The much-anticipated doors opened on Saturday 6 September,2025 to reveal the brand new home of, custom character based, entertainment at Chuck E. Cheese Joondalup. The 1600 square meter, high energy family entertainment centre is the re-entry point of the world renowned brand back into the Australian market and is being launched as the first version 2.0 global flagship store design, specifically tailored to provide a fresh experience for indoor play entertainment to the modern Australian audience. Dreamland Playground partnered with Royale Hospitality Group, the exclusive Australia Franchisee, who aimed to create a world-class play center inspired by American design that caters to the high standards of the Australian consumer.

Regulatory Compliance: Meeting Australia's Highest Standards

The development of the indoor playground involved a strict adherence to the requirements of AS 3533.4.1 Australian Safety Standards, which is one of the world's most rigorous safety systems because of the sheer scale of the project. The official visual identity of the global 2.0 renovation of the famous children's entertainment centers, including all locations under the Chuck E. Cheese's brand, had to be protected and maintained in equal measure to ensuring safety. The playground's design incorporates the basic design elements and spatial design components of the new official international standards for the Chuck E. Cheese's brand. Working across continents to bring all elements together on time was a key consideration for this high profile project.

We were the equipment manufacturers for the fabulous Dreamland Playground, but we were full-fledged strategic partners for the whole development process. The construction of the commercial space safety products utilises high quality materials that are fire resistant, non-toxic and meet Australian standards. The chosen products have fully adhered performances and long term durability without and visible change even with heavy use on a daily basis. The system allowed for assembly results near complete error-free installation.The pre-engineered system allowed for easy installation panel layout, which facilitated easy installation work for timely construction.

The Multi-Level Adventure Maze

Our multi-level adventure maze is the cornerstone of our amusements and games offering here at Chuck E. Cheese Joondalup. Made to maximise space, its fun design allows children to explore, jump up and down and play in large numbers.The layout features tunnels and climbing frames, sliding bridges and lots of things to discover and interact with.The benefit to the venue is that customers play for a longer period and therefore are more likely to spend money on food and drink. The structure was built using reinforced wood and walls and filled with soft play materials that meet safety requirements. The design of the facility allows staff members to have a clear line of sight to children throughout the space.

The Visual Anchor: Signature Slides

The signature spiral slide was key in bringing customers into the new venue as it served as the brand identifier for the space. The colorful and playful design of the structure mimicked the look of the bold new building and was sure to amaze the eyes of both children and adults alike. This slide was developed as a marketing tool. The slide is very visually attractive, appealing, and everybody wants to share it on social media, like Instagram and TikTok. Visitors will be very tempted to take a photograph of it.Featuring smooth tubes and optimised descent angles meeting the rigorous safety standards for slide design in Australia, the Continuing Descent product continues to provide fast and exciting tram operations.

Interactive Ninja Obstacle Course

This is an indoor playground for kids, turned video style game for fun. The ninja course training equipment provides a fun interactive training system, designed to test three major skills for kids who enjoy longer, more challenging physical activity. The game comprises of a number of challenges such as balance beams that are either suspended or timed. As players complete each challenge, they can progress through the game and measure up their physical ability against others. The game encourages progress as players attempt to improve their scores with each try. So the business model needs this feature because it happens over and over again.

High-Efficiency Toddler Zone

The dedicated high-efficiency toddler zone is available for the young children to play with building essential development skills in a fun environment.
