The Collaborative Design and Manufacturing Solution

Dreamland Playground was the first and most suitable option for this collaboration, given their extensive experience working in ODM/OEM partnerships, successive projects, and company reputation, being able to provide end-to-end projects. The R&D team worked in collaboration and developed a themed Antarctic world showcasing various shades of blue, penguin characters, ice sculptures, and soft structured elements of rounded design for a perfect match to the theme. All parts of the playground used technology in top-of-the-line 3D laser cutting and were made of safe, long-lasting material that can withstand heavy usage in commercial spaces.

Implementation and Operational Details

Dreamland Playground provided full-service production and global shipping with installation support, paving the way to the smooth integration of the multi-level structure. This service model promoted minimal service interruption and enabled the site to open with the playground fully integrated. The playground was built to support the active social gameplay of children without the use of arcade play to promote physical activity and lengthened dwell times. Strategic positioning of high-margin offerings like the parent café and private party rooms amplified profitability and enhanced the overall experience. The integrated design provided operationally sound elements to support the family-friendly vision of YoYo's Wonderland. The recent additions to Yoyo's Wonderlads play environment, openings, and smart layout, unparalleled active play design continue to maximize visitors and revenue.

Multi-Tiered Challenge Course/Maze

A multi-tiered fun obstacle course/training maze in an Antarctic setting (penguin graphics, ice caves, and cool lighting cues) integrates climbing ramps, soft obstacle challenges, balance beams, and enclosed climber passages. Programs built around Antarctic exploration and safe (calculated) risk-taking guide participants through the different levels and encourage further exploration. Designed for ages 4-13, the structure promotes continuous movement and group engagement, which enhances the overall value and duration of each play session. All surfaces are waterproof and soft-coated for long-lasting durability. The pass-through rate of the maze is engineered for success and makes it an operational stronghold and pivotal attraction within YoYo’s Wonderland play environment.

Main Slide Complex

The Slides section of the attraction includes, for the younger children, a mini-side section and, for everyone, a dual-lane wave slide, a spiral tube slide, and a mini slide. This section of the attraction is, for a decorative piece, an ice cliff. Safety padding is themed around the ice cliff, with stairs and slides being different shades of blue, resembling a gradient ice cliff. The heights and angles of the slide were engineered to meet ASD/CPSC standards while still providing exciting and smooth landings. This section dedicates itself to actively repetitive play, which is a strong contributor to the customer satisfaction and reviews YoYo’s Wonderland has received.

Net Bridges and Tunnels 

The net mazes and netted bridges, and tunnels at YoYo's Wonderland are crafted to provide children with a wonderful adventure with all the applicable safety measures. In keeping with durable construction, reinforced rope, high-tensile mesh, and pliable multi-layer padding are designed with the mesh and rope structures to accommodate daily use. Balancing, coordination, and confidence are some of the skills developed as children cross these tunnels, walk the bridges, and weave through the structure's multiple levels. In addition to helping make the theme of the area more life-like, the weaving of the net structure above helps to create a pleasant and bright atmosphere. In all, these zones with nets allow children to participate in a variety of more complex, active, and challenge-based play. Children of all ages can use these zones instead.

Soft-Play Spinners/Carousels 

The YoYo's Wonderland soft-play spinners and carousels feature soft-motion activities created for toddlers and younger children. For maximum safety during spinning, each unit is fully padded, low to the ground, and has rounded edges. These attractions, designed with drawings of penguins and mounds of snow and in a color palette of icy blues and whites, seem to match the Antarctic theme of the attraction. Their controlled and smooth spinning is a thrill, but not too much for younger guests. Since they take up a small amount of space and require little supervision, soft-play spinners and carousels are great options for busy, family multi-use areas. Extending the duration of customer visits and increasing the appeal of the attraction to be multi-age are great contributions to the reputation of YoYo's Wonderland for safe, imaginative play.
